We are looking at a house in Thornburg Ridge subdivision, we are finding conflicting listings.....some say that there is a HOA / restrictive convences and some that there aren't any. I have searched to try and find if there is actualy and HOA / restrictive convences in this neighborhood, but haven't had any luck. Does anyone know this sub division or where i can confirm if and what the restrictions are? Thanks..

According to the Wake County Register of Deeds, yes, there are restrictive covenants for Thornburg Ridge Phase I & Phase II. The links below will take you right to the covenants, as filed with Wake County.

Thornburg Ridge Phase II - Covenants from Phase I also cover Phase II

organcandle, there might be some other interesting info posted on the Wake County Register of Deeds site that you might be interested in for Thornburg Ridge. Here's how to search:

Go to the Wake County Register of Deeds website search page:
Books! Online Records Search

Then do two searches - first one, type in "Thornburg Ridge" in the Grantor field. A bunch of documents will pop up - best to click on the .pdf file red logo next to each. Then, go back and search "Thornburg Ridge" in the Grantee field.

There are plats of the subdivision recorded, which show if there are any easements recorded for a particular lot, and any future easements (for future roads, etc.) That along with the Covenants is typically what I find most useful from the Register of Deeds website.
