I take my overflow stuff to Guardian Angel in Fuquay, which benefits Alzheimer research. They also have a satellite place in Apex near Hwy64.

In Chapel Hill, Orange United Methodist Church (MLK at Homestead) has its annual Harvest Festival this weekend, which includes a large yard sale:

Quote:
Ready, Set, De-Clutter, Donate & Volunteer! In a few short weeks, OUMC will host the largest multi-family yard sale in Chapel Hill on Saturday, October 13th-- starting at 7:00 a.m. until everything is gone -- as part of the annual Harvest Festival.

We want your "stuff!" This is a plea for each of you to look around your home, garage and office and put the clutter, stuff, and extra things you can’t bear to part with (but really should) into a box or bag and bring it to the church Wed. 10/10 through Fri. 10/12 at 5 p.m. to help us stock the shelves of the Yard Sale. Your donations directly help improve the bottom line of our profits from the Harvest Festival and the Yard Sale! If you have a talent for sorting or merchandising -- or just enjoy Yard Sales….please volunteer!
See the website for a list of items they will accept and those they won't.
