My 3.5 year old loved the fair - she rode a ton of rides which surprised us...and loved them for the most part. My goodness, the ride tickets were RIDICULOUSLY expensive and the ride lengths were awfully short. Otherwise we had fun and park and ride was definitely the ticket. We stayed from just shy of 10am until about 4pm on Sunday.
We also went Sunday, arrived about 12 and came in on Blue Ridge, from the NC State side. Parked on the street about 2 blocks away behind a small corporate park, where lots were charging 10 bux. Worked out very well, since this was just before the traffic got crazy at the intersection of Blue Ridge /Hillsborough.
Walked around more than last year, found the flower display section which we missed last year. Gyro, roasted corn, deep fried honey bun (pass on this one) and deep fried pumpkin pie (awesome!)
Loved the poultry tent, always get a kick outta the roosters all trying to out do each others ****-a-doodle-doooooooos!
Oops, sorry for that choice of words, didnt even realize until I saw the stars
