We recently moved to the Cleveland Rd. Area in Clayton/South garner and I'm looking to enroll my daughters (9 & 11) in art lessons, swimming lessons, tennis, soccer, dance.... Would appreciate suggestions on any or all.

Welcome to the area!

Greater Cleveland Athletic Association (GCAA) has soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball. This is a great place to make friends in the area.

For other activities check out local parks and recreation departments in Garner, Clayton, or Smithfield. Smithfield has the closest indoor swimming pool.

You might want to check out the Clayton Community Center, YMCA, and Smithfield Aquadic Center. And I second GCAA for baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball. Dance Art on Cleveland Road might be the closest dance school. Also check out 4042.com for local info.

The Garner Parks and Rec Dept. has great programs for kids. They offer tennis and have art classes. My boys participate in the one day classes...pumpkin decorating, gingerbread houses, making ice cream, and their basketball program.

Seconded for Garner Parks and rec. They have a ton of things for kids to do. In the summer time my kids take photography camp, karate, lacrosse, ...all kinds of things. They are great!
