Recommendations for restaurants that are in a scenic, quaint are and are kid friendly? Do any offer outside dining if it's warm enough?

I checked this link: Thanksgiving Planner on Triangle Citysearch (http://triangle.citysearch.com/roundup/38070 - broken link) but these places sound to upscale (I think).
