I am looking to get a pay as you go phone and the best priced ones use Sprint towers. I understand their service area isn't as good as AT&T. I know there is a tower sitting in the farmland right next to our neighborhood but that doesn't guarantee good service in my home.

What service are you using (TenTen/Old Stage) and how do you feel about it?

Sprints terrible around that area. I would go with Verizon, then AT&T, and Sprint as a last resort. I travel from Garner to Willow Springs via Old Stage a couple of times a week and have never had a problem in that area with Verizon. If you buy from Best Buy, you have 30 days to return your phone, and they sell for a number of carriers, so you can see what works best for you. I tried Sprint; they didn't have great coverage, so I went with Verizon and love it. I had AT&T about 2 years ago and it was just okay.
