We have friends who just started construction. They expect to move in later this year. I *think* she mentioned that the clubhouse was a at least a year away (edit - Spring 2015? ) but no idea how firm that is. Lots of activity there for sure - apparently adding office staff and "Ambassador" residents.

It is my understanding that it is one of the most successful launches Del Webb has ever had. They were expecting 1000 at the grand opening in July --2500 showed up. The construction is at such a rapid pace that Durham is really straining to have sufficient inspectors. The construction schedule is about 8 or 9 weeks. About 70 homes have been built or are under construction. More than that have sold. Prices have already increased several times. Their are to be ~ 1285 homes at this location. The club house build time above is correct -- over a year away. It's really hopping out there!

Your info is spot on. Our home is under construction and we have a tentative closing day of November 15th. The interest in CA has been incredible and the sales brisk. The last time I checked, they had sold 24 of the Passport Collection (smallest models), 45 of the Expedition and 20 of the Pinnacle. We've been very pleased with the entire process thus far and look forward to moving in.

It's hardy plank (fiber cement)...and I'd MUCH rather have this than ugly vinyl siding. It is weather and termite resistant and looks great! I do not mind that I'll have to paint in 10 years. I love that we have the choice of so many colors.
