Hi I need a new washer and have heard there are warehouses that have new washer with cosmetic damage. Do any of these place exist in the triangle. I was checking online for washer prices and they cost a heck of a lot.

I am trying to save a few bucks.

Thanks.

I bought one off the floor at Lowes a couple of years ago. It had a dent on the side which was just cosmetic and had been marked down because of this.
I got a great deal on a nearly new dryer on Craig's list.

Maybe just call around to places like Sears and ask.

There's a Sears Outlet in Raleigh (right on the edge of Garner) on Fayetteville Rd that sometimes has scratch/dent and also discontinued models.

I have purchased floor model appliances from Best Buy at a discount. If there is a model you are interested in they may check around to find a scratch and dent if you ask and they aren't slammed.

When I first moved here 4 years ago, I bought a washer and dryer off Craigslist for $100 including installation. It was supposed to just "get us by" until we could afford new stuff. They are still running great today!

Saw some scratch and dent units at Home Depot in Cary last weekend.

Appliance quality is dropping like a rock.

We just rented from Washer and Dryer Rental | Appliance Rentals - Appliance Warehouse of America after being burned twice with junk laundry appliances bought new.

No commitment beyond 2 months.

Basic but durable units. Free repairs unless you damage it, but you can purchase protection from them at a low monthly cost.

Just curious- how much per month? We bought basic models on sale, but a good brand, and I can't imagine that we wouldn't end up paying more in the long run if we rented.

About $20/month for each machine. One-time $25 delivery and $7.50 account setup.

You would pay more if you rented several years but get free service and replacement if the units conk out.

No guarantee you get a new set but they are clean and in good condition.

I got sick of replacing frequently. My old set bought in New Orleans in the late 80's lasted 16 years w/o one issue.
