Default We want to be your neighbor!

Hi there,
My husband has interviews in Raleigh next Friday and while we are down there we are going to look at real estate.
I absolutely love the KB Homes at Twin Lakes (Martha Stewart) but the most important thing to us is a great neighborhood with tons of kids.
We would prefer a new subdivision but are pretty much open to all possibilities.
Us: we love to bbq, play cards/dominoes, and throw potlucks/dinner parties. We want a neighborhood with a strong sense of community, friendly faces, and (hopefully for me) possible tennis partners...
Please tell us if you live in a neighborhood that sounds like a good fit. We're coming from Maryland which makes us Yankees (although we are below the Mason-Dixon line) but we love Southerners and Yankees all the same...

Thanks!

From what my clients tell me, the nicest thing about moving into a brand new neighborhood is that so many people are new and eager to meet others. I'd say if you are in a neighborhood that has a swim club, there will be tons of kids. Since you have children, the schools will be an important issue, as well. You sound like a very nice person so I'm sure you'll have no trouble meeting people and making friends. Vicki

I'd also like to find a family neighborhood with lots of kids, a swimming pool to walk or bike to and some walkways or hiking areas. An area with lots of streets to walk around without having to cross a busy street. Looking to live in Cary, Apex or N. Raleigh. LIke areas like Scots Mill, but don't want to be within earshot of the new 540 loop. Or any busy street for that matter. And want to stay under $300,000. I don't give a hoot about square footage or age, but need a garage. Any ideas?

Default This place is a zoo...

This area is becoming a zoo...drivers are maniacs....overcrowded schools...I moved from Gaithersburg, Maryland to get away from that stuff...now it's hapening here...I'd consider somewhere else if I were you....not Raleigh metro area... I'm looking to get away
