Another reason to avoid the Toll roads. You may be double billed because you have 2 different transponders in your vechile.

I'm sorry but you have to be pretty dumb to leave two transponders up in your car. It's not the turnpike authority's fault people are stupid.

The idea that the readers can magically know they shouldn't read two transponders is so beyond ridiculous I don't even know where to start.

Well, I can see it might be possible to know two went through at the exact same time, but given the fact that the accounts are two different places, it makes it quite a bit harder I imagine.

One thing this proves is you shouldn't have to worry about having the transponder in exactly the right place on your windshield. Seems anywhere in the car is adequate.

I know someone who borrowed an EZPass and mailed it back to the owner. Every time the mail truck went thru a toll booth, the Pass was read. My friend had some 'splaining to do when the owners got their monthly EZPass statement!

I agree. It's pathetic how bad it's gotten in this country with it always being someone else fault.

So basically, it all started when the tolls became incorporated w/ EZPass. Those with a Quick Pass sticker and an EZPass transponder (possibly from another EZPass State) began getting billed twice.

And yeh, don't drive on the toll if you don't want to. Driving around is such a breeze for me. I love it.

From the NC Quick Pass Terms and Conditions:

This is exactly why they provide the little no-read bags with the transponders.
