I have a grand dog now, Small trettier (LIKE IN OZ) I would like very short cut and nail tri med, She is older and very low key. no bark no bite, Last time I when to pet smart over 50.00 No way any body know some place over in the Cary /Morrisville or near fair ground/ Rex area that is a decent price . I know it can all be done I hour to hour half. But do not think the 50-75 is good price. I know I heard about a place in WK where you wash your self, I when to one few years ago in Burlington , Wish one was near Cary! Thanks !
May still be too pricey but Woof Gang Bakery at the corner of Davis and High House (Preston area) has a self-wash station with blowdryer, etc. as well as full-service grooming by appointment. It looks like grooming is priced by the weight/size of the dog...
Just the other day I took Dixie Doodle for a full spa treatment to Dazzling Dog Sunset Lakes Commons. The full treatment, including all the disgusting doggy things to do, bath, and a trim, and dremeling her nails, was $70 with tip. Seems a lot?

All About Pets Grooming in N. Raleigh does the lion cut on my persian cat for $35. Most other places charge $60 or so. I would imagine they are reasonable with dogs, too.
Dog grooming is unregulated and does not require a license. Anyone off the street can pick up clippers and claim to be a groomer tomorrow.
Compared to human hair stylist, dog groomers do 10 times more work on clients, work on aggressive and hyper moving targets, and a dog's full groom can take 4 or 5 times the amount of time and "product" to complete compared to getting your own hair done.
If your dog groomer is very cheap, I would be very careful. Groomers already make much less $ per hour compared to human hairdressers, and when you break it all down, you may be asking for someone who will do a whole lot of work, for less than a livable wage.
There is a massive gap between groomers and the level of safety and professionalism/correct grooming that is offered, from person to person.

I agree. and that is what the sign at our groomers says. Plus your beautician is not going to brush your teeth, clean the boogers our of your eyes, and clear your anal glands.
