At University Massage on Franklin Street they actually require you to remove your underwear, from what I've heard, allegedly, so I'm told... from other people, that have actually been there before.
Deirdre Toomey at http://Movebettermassage.com/ does outrageous medical massages. Trigger point work with both her hands and hot stones. Woman flat knows shoulders.
Her advice is "comfort level," but she always has a sheet covering areas she is not working on.
My understanding "comfort level" and draping with sheets is the norm in this area.
I go to Synergy Spa in Raleigh. Dan is my massage therapist. I actually found him at his last place of employment and when he left I tried the other 2 people they had on hand. They were both sub par for my taste as they didn't feel therapeutic at all. Their technique was merely nice. So I found out where Dan went and followed him to Synergy. I usually go monthly.
I went to Dan, based on your recomendation and really loved him. I wasn't too thrilled with Synergy...didn't feel or smell like a spa to me! I gotta have that spa smell! I know they were doing some remodeling. Does it feel more spa like?

No, the place itself doesn't have the true feel of a spa but they may eventually get there. I'm glad you enjoyed your massage with Dan. He really knows his stuff.
