My wife and I are looking at houses in Clayton. Is the waterford drive area nice? It's supposed to be near the bowling alley.
Any info is greatly appreciated. We're trying to find something kind of quiet without a bunch of basketball hoops and rowdy people. ( Been around that for too long)
For the most part, you're not gonna find in Clayton a bunch of basketball hoops and rowdy people. That's part of the appeal of this town.
Is the Waterford Dr area nice? Define "nice". It's right near 42, 70, downtown and 10 minutes from 40/42, so maybe you could say it's centrally located. But if you're interested in Clayton, check out all of Clayton and see what fits you.
We're trying to find a nice place for around $1000 a month. We found one in NE Raleigh and it was in a not too good neighborhood. That's the main reason I'm asking for opinions plus it's fairly far to go checking out everyday. I'm trying to locate a few places to go see.
By nice I mean.. not too junky... not a bunch of teenagers... a quiet location? a good part of the area.
I rented a house on Waterford from September to February of this year. Its..well...okay. Decent. If you have a young kid with a bike, make sure you lock it up, some of the kids in the neighborhood have been stealing bikes. Sometimes there is loud music. I know some of our old neighbors recently sold their house there because of a "questionable" house on the corner.
I would suggest driving through it during the night on a Friday or Saturday. See for yourself. I haven't heard anything in awhile about anything in particular so it might have gotten better.
