Another swimming option is the new Triangle Aquatic Center (TAC): Public aquatic facilities in Wake County. It is on the far East side of Cary (right next to Cary Town Mall and I-40).

Pricing is good for occasional swimmers (as an adult I would pay $45 for a 10-visit pass). For frequent swimmers the annual membership for adults is $660.00 (a monthly fee of $60.00). This seems steep to me considering a family (up to six people) can get annual membership for $960.00 (a monthly fee of $88.00). Anyway, it looks like a good facility and a much-needed addition to Cary.

I saw the link NRG posted about TAC. Expensive is right! The Y seems like a better deal compared to TAC. And a more central location. My family of five moved here the first week of August and we used the pool in the apt complex everyday until about Labor Day. I don't think the novelty will wear off. None of us are on swim teams. But we like to be outside as much as possible. Access to a pool close by is a must! Thanks for everyone's feedback

For those living in Morrisville, Morrisville has an Aquatics and Fitness Center. The resident rates are pretty good.
