I am relocating from FL and I am wondering if anyone knows the area of Belmont estates in apex (27539). I want to know if this is a high crime area or if its ok. I have two kids so this is very important to me. I recently looked up a crime neighborhood site with the address I had for rent and I wasn't impressed. It seemed to have some areas of thefts and burglary across the street but it was hard to tell exactly how far it was on the map. Please help. My second option would be to rent an apartment in wake forest at north forest apartments however I would prefer a home. I am not racist but I am looking for a low crime area.

I would greatly appreciate any ones input for areas to raise a family. Also note I would prefer an area with less city traffic life but still convenient to shopping and such with little crime. thank you

I drive through this area from time to time and think it is lovely. Lots of new construction and retail. Never heard of any special problems with the area and consider it solidly middle class to upper middle. Apex and Holly Springs in general are very family oriented and considered as safe.

Sometimes those crime maps are misleading in that all it takes is a couple of criminal wannabees to make an area look worrisome. Once those are folks are caught, the problem subsides. And in our areas they are usually caught.

It's very safe. I live in the area and scratch my head at SpotCrime.com's listings.

The only thing I can guess is there's some student-on-student crime and/or misbehaving students from the area schools (there's four in the area). There's also many adult leagues at the fields. I've seen a few fights with police called during games (probably listed as assault) from older folks reliving their youth.

I cannot think of any Apex area that is high in crime. Outside of one poster here (who I suspect was trolling) I've never heard of anyone being concerned with safety in the town of Apex. I'm actually suprised spot crime has any area in Apex that is high in crime. The overall crime rate is very low. I live in the more modest section of Apex (close to where said previous poster condisdered "unsafe") and crime is still nearly non existent

Um, have you ever BEEN to this area, or are you throwing darts at a dartboard based on google searches?
How have you narrowed down your choices to the Belmont Estates area of 27539 or renting an apartment in Wake Forest? Those two choices have NOTHING to do with one another
AT ALL.

27539 is pretty much the same vanilla as the surrounding Cary area. Family-oriented, nice place to live.
