Hi Folks,

With tropical storm Andrea riding up the coast this weekend, I thought it would be helpful to create an ongoing thread for this season's tropical happenings. Looks like Andrea will give the area a true soaking. Flash Flood watches/warnings are in effect for virtually every county south of us to the Gulf of Mexico. Obviously the biggest concern with this one will be rain/flooding and not the winds. Drive safe, and don't drive in standing water!

Storm Names for 2013
Andrea
Barry
Chantal
Dorian
Erin
Fernand
Gabrielle
Humberto
Ingrid

Karen
Lorenzo
Melissa
Nestor
Olga

No more Rain, thanks. We've had more than enough this spring.

That being said, NC and SC are kinda overdue for a hurricane. The last dozen years have spared most of the area aside from a few brushes at the beach and outer banks. Isabel did quite a bit of damage to Virginia and then of course Sandy pushed into the Northeast. Albertos remants dumped 6" of rain back in '06 I believe but other than that it's been a smooth sailing.

I'm not really looking forward to all the rain. Hopefully it picks up speed and gets in and out pretty quickly.
