I grew up in Durham and now live in Washington State. One of my fondest memories is of a hot dog shop downtown called "Amos & Andy's". Can anyone tell me what happened to this place. I thought they had the best I have ever eaten.

Thank you

It is my understanding that it is long closed. There was a piece in the paper on Hallaween by the food critic bemoaning "favorite restaurants that have gone to the graveyard". Amos and Andy's was not in that article, but people have been writing letters to the editors since saying "you forgot XYZ" and Amos and Andy's was one that got a mention.
