Folks, I am trying to use gravel in lieu of regular mulch in my garden beds ......besides Stone Center of Carolina‎ off Hwy 55, is there a similar place that sells colored gravel that I can use in my garden beds?

Sands and Soils is very good. They've been in business decades. You'll be pleased with them.

In Orange County, Brockwell's - located in the Calvander area at Dairyland (Homsetead) and Old NC 86. They have a large lot with many types of gravel and stone to choose from.

I guess you are right because so far, Sands and Soils seem to be coming out on top as far as pricing is concerned. Even their delivery charge is exceptionally well compared to a whopping $95 delivery charge by "The Stone Center" on Hwy 55 for delivering no more than 5-6 miles up the road from my house.

Sands and Soils charge $60 per yard for the stones albeit a little different color than the one I would really prefer but for that price it will have to grow on me and I will learn to love it real fast . In addition, the delivery charge is $35 anywhere in Durham.
