Heard about a new Cary campaign this morning on the radio called "Cary On". I like the concept and did a bit of googling and found this: Harold's Blog: Cary On! - CaryCitizen | CaryCitizen

I really hope that blog does not have the official logo and that the town hired a professional designer to create the mark. I think this has potential if they do it right. What is everyone's thoughts? Any designers on the forum want to take a crack at making a real version?

A new branding campaign [called Cary On] was introduced by council member Robinson at the Chamber Planning conference. It’s a Chamber initiative created to give Cary residents an opportunity to express their connection to Cary. It will also be used to market Cary for economic development. It has a few implied meanings:

Cary is going strong in spite of the slow economic recovery (carry on)
Cary is a great place for technology companies (the on button)
Cary is a great place (Cary ON!)
The idea to have a campaign came out of the Economic Development Commission. Chuck Norman created the theme with assistance from various Chamber members and input from Public Information Officer Susan Moran and Council member Jennifer Robinson.
So basically a Chamber of Commerce marketing campaign?

It doesn't even make sense to me...but I'm not surprised considering the source. All I can think of is the song "carry on" by Fun.

Funny, I immediately went to the British poster "Keep calm and carry on"

That's all they can come up with? I'm curious, how much do they pay these clowns?
