TGI Fridays should have been out of business years ago. Their food was always sub-standard and nasty compared to the other bistro style eateries like CHili's and AppleBee's..
Replace TGIF with a locally owned and operated restaurant! Chain restaurants are all the same as it is cooking by numbers by people who don't care.

It's a nice thought, but I seriously doubt a non-chain restaurant could afford the rent on a site like that. There are much nicer, affordable locations for local restaurants within a mile or two of TGIF (and, for that matter, there are lots of locally owned and operated restaurants in many of those more affordable locations).
Our newest employee worked at that location, and she told us that there was no warning to employees. The doors were simply locked one morning when people came to work, and a moving crew removed all the signage, equipment and furnishings. In one day, they were gone.

I don't know the details on this restaurant, but assuming it was a franchise, someone put up ~$2 million to get it going, so they probably cared. The TGIF website says prospective franchisees should have a net worth of $6 Million +.
I too hope a non-chain restaurant can fill the space. If not, perhaps something we don't have in every shopping center - e.g not a Chili's, Applebees, etc. (There is already a Chili's there.)
