Taylor's Wine Shop/BP is having their semi-annual parking lot BBQ event this Saturday, October 19th from 11:00 to 1:00 so stop on by. They have plates for $10 as well as pints, sandwiches and homemade desserts. The proceeds will benefit the YMCA Gail Cash Endowment Fund.

Also, Farmer Mary with Winterpast Petting Zoo will have a petting zoo for the kids (over at Crazy Lady Produce) from 10-12 so bring the kids!

10005 Six Forks Road, Raleigh
located next to Bayleaft Vet (please do not park at Bayleaf!)

Thanks. Seems a little pricey. Who is doing the BBQ, is it someone with Taylor's or are they having one of the local BBQ restaurants do it? Do you know anything about the Endowment Fund? Google is not very helpful.

if you go to most local church BBQ's this is the average.
Gail and Taylor avid supporters...YMCA awarded them an outstanding Man/Woman of the year award up until Gail's death...proceeds go towards college fund for deserving kids...you can call the Raleigh YMCA if you really need more info.

Bill who works at Taylor's is the pittmaster and will be out on the girl.
It's a semi annual event they've had for years.

Thanks for the info. I did find a little more with Google, mostly about Gail and Taylor starting the wine company. I couldn't find as much info as I expected. These days you think Google can find anything. Supporting a scholarship fund is a worthwhile cause. I have learned over the years to find out where the money is going.
