Is there an election coming up are the Triangle? I am not really into politics but wondering because I see signs all over the places, along roadways. Was wondering who is going to clean them up?

Psst...... Elections happen every year the first Tuesday of November.
The candidate or party is suppose to remove election signs that are in public right of ways generally within 30 days.

Actually, in an effort to confuse the electorate and suppress voter turnout, the parties here hold elections in October. I voted on October 8.

I'm new here, and it's confusing!

I voted in October for some Wake County issues, but It's my understanding there is another election in November (at least in Apex).

They like it that way, keeps turnout low.

October was the Municipal election; November is the General election.

(though interestingly, the only race on my general ballot is a municipal election)

You can visit North Carolina State Board of Elections to look up your ballot for the upcoming election (click "My Election Information)

Thanks for the update. I don't really pay attention to any of it.

This is my biggest pet peeve this time of year. The vast majority of signs are illegally placed. Medians are not allowed on state roads. If it's in the right of way, you are supposed to have permission of the adjacent property owner. How many have done that?

I really hope you mean you don't pay attention to the signs, rather than that you don't pay attention to the elections.

Vote. Every election. Every time. It matters.
