Hello all, we are heading down to look at the rental that we are going to live in and decided to make it a day trip where we can take our girls and dogs hiking. Are there any good places that are not too far from north Raleigh where we can go for a good walk with kids and dogs? Our girls can probably handle about a 2 mile hike.

we're headed to Raven Rock State park this weekend to hike, about an hour away. I would recommend Falls Lake for your family

be sure to bring a leash for your furry friend, that's no more than 6 feet long, wherever you go. And some small refuse bags to clean up after them. And thank you in advance!
