Hi, please help, I am having a bagel craving emergency.

I only now found out that NY Bagel and Deli has great bagels. But Yelp tells me it's closed. That happens on Yelp, so I hope that's a mistake.

Fingers crossed that you will tell me this place is, in fact, still open.

(if it's not - is there anything comparable that is?)

Thanks!

I just went yesterday. They're still open. (I assume you're referring to the one at Crescent Commons.)

The Yelp listing that says closed is for the former location near Staples and Trader Joes. There is a location on Kildaire between Walmart and Harris Teeter that is open. New York Bagel and Deli III

I need to stop in there more often!

Great salads, too, and I worry about that moribund shopping center providing them with adequate traffic to survive.

Really! Thanks guys. I may need a bagel taste test

Funny that though Durham generally has terrific restaurants, we do not have good bagels, as far as I know.

I need to check this out. I only knew about Bruggers on the same corner. I'll need to seek and find this one. Thanks.

EDIT: After reading YELP reviews, I need to check both, but I think NYBD at Cressent commons gets better reviews.

Manhattan cafe is my favorite place for bagels. It is a bit rundown, but totally worth the trip there. Their jalapeno bagels are amazing. The owner seems like a really nice lady and always makes sure to interact with the clients.
