Good photo, but I still don't understand this obsession with painting things on statues of cows and horses. Isn't their beauty in what they ARE, not in the images being added?

Most of the painted cows that people see around the triangle were part of CowParade NC. These "decorated" cows were displayed all around the area and then auctioned off to to raise money for the NC Children's Hospital.

I'm not sure though if the one the OP posted was part of that charity event. I couldn't find that one listed.

Don't know. This one was spotted on New Bern Ave in Knightdale and was interesting in the fact that the color of the cow matched the sky that day.
