(Meant to post here instead of the general NC one - sorry.)

I am finally here in Raleigh but the time is passing much too quickly. We ahve been here since Saturday night and have had a wonderful time. Spent all day Tuesday with Vicki from this board and she drove us all over the north part of Raleigh and Wake Forest. On our own we went to Apex and Cary but knew immediately that we want to be closer in. We even found the house we want but of course it will be long gone by the time we actually move there in about 3 years. Any of you looking for a single story house know how scarse they are but Centex builds a couple that are really nice. (I am so sure about this move that I even signed up for and got a Harris Teeter VIP card so I can save money at the grocery store. The weather has been all over the place. It was chilly when we arrived, poured all day Tuesday and yesterday it was hot, up in the 80's. Now that we have compared rush hour traffic here with Houston's, it is no contest. Here it is a minor annoyance, at home it is a nightmare. Getting around this city is a breeze and I don't anticipate having any trouble at all once we move here. Well, gotta go, more to see and do. Ta ta everyone!

It's a VIC card not a VIP card :-)

The eastern parts of Cary are very close in. We're talking 5 miles or so to downtown Raleigh.
