Employment in Raleigh (law, companies, job)

Hi All !! I relocated from NY to NC four months ago on a job search. I have been on several interviews but they have no moved forward with a second round of interviews. I hear some firms are very slow one of them being law firms. I have gotten every opinion on here from "maybe your incompetent" to I can't interview. My question is I am sure it depends on the field, perhaps timing. Has anyone had a similar situation finding a job? Any suggestions on search engines? I would like a list of firms in Raleigh of any industry. I have googled that search but don't come up with much. Could it be I am not googling correctly? Any suggestions where I can obtain a list of firms. I have gotten many of them from goggle but some firms don't have a carrer section so I mail out letters with my resume.

I had a friend who received a list of companies from the Chamber of Commerce. This was several years ago. He was targeting pharma companies and the Chamber of Commerce gave him a list. I'm assuming it's the Raleigh Chamber that he got the list from...but I can't remember for certain.
