Any advice? BTW, how could a snake get into an apt?
The apt is pretty new, and at least, looks really nice. Thank you!
I'm guessing you can get the deposit back but not the app fee. Talk to them if you feel sketchy about the situation since you have a valid concern.

On the other hand, it's not so unusual to find snakes out in NC as many have attested. Inside the house makes it sort of alarming, however. Just inspect the apartment and look for possible breaches like under the sink, inside cabinets, under doors and window frames. If you see exposures to the outside world, it's not just an opening for any critter, but a waste on your utility bill. A valid reason for not moving in if not repaired, I'm sure.

Also, check with management and ask about how they deal with pests and what not. Do they know about the snake?

We found a snake in our apt in Kansas City after a week away from home.

Got the little bugger out and they never returned.
