Call up the graduate school and ask admissions directly. Ask what they are seeking in a competitive application, how many people generally apply each year, and how many slots are open. Ask how you can strengthen your profile. Make sure they know your name, be polite and engaging, make a good impression. With graduate school, it really depends on the program and not the university itself. My program isn't very selective as it's in the humanities. I was accepted to Univ of Michigan, a top tier school, with only a 3.5 undergraduate GPA. I didn't even take the GRE as most programs did not require it.

i did not, but I don't know why. I probably had too much experience. I was not coming right out of undergrad like most people who apply to an master's in accounting program.
