I applied to UNC's Master of Accounting (MAC) program .... Anyone have any idea on how hard it is to get accepted? My GMAT score is a little weak.

Call up the graduate school and ask admissions directly. Ask what they are seeking in a competitive application, how many people generally apply each year, and how many slots are open. Ask how you can strengthen your profile. Make sure they know your name, be polite and engaging, make a good impression. Can't hurt, and it may offer valuable info (it did for me, for another program).

Also, I'm on an ipad and can't open this link, but sometimes admissions stats are found on the web. If they are not here, do a search:

With graduate school, it really depends on the program and not the university itself. My program isn't very selective as it's in the humanities. I was accepted to Univ of Michigan, a top tier school, with only a 3.5 undergraduate GPA. I didn't even take the GRE as most programs did not require it.

Yes, I was hoping that someone had applied to that particular program and could provide advice

Hey there,

Did you ever get an answer? Did you make it in or are you still looking for a grad program?

The original post was 3 years ago, so I imagine they've gotten an answer by now

I'm looking into that one as well, and that was the only thing I can find. Did you do a MAC Program? If you did, do you have any insight?

i did not, but I don't know why. I probably had too much experience. I was not coming right out of undergrad like most people who apply to an master's in accounting program.
