I went to Crabtree for the first time in years today....man the traffic/parking situation there sucks...especially this time of the year!
I also remembered that when I was a kid, some family friends/neighbors of ours...who were a few years older than me...had convinced me that Crabtree Valley Mall was a 100 year old mansion that was once owned by a really rich family. They told me the whole family got murdered there years ago and nobody wanted to live there after that so they turned it into a mall and the "grand staircase" was the only thing left inside from when it was still a house.

Was there last night as well. We entered via the front entrance. Part of the problem there is that people don't realize that the far right lane as it enters the mall is now supposed to be right turn only when you get up by the mall. There's even a sign that says "right turn only" but people are dumb and then try to use it as a double left turn lane.
They need to put a barrier there and probably will sometime soon I imagine.
The big dog Marshall loves catching squirrels. He doesn't like handing them over to me. That just made #6 for him this fall. I expect he's eaten a few as well.

Ohhhh gross - maybe good that he doesn't want you to handle them.
My dog is a determined squirrel hunter, yet has not caught any yet.
On another dog note, I find Mike Maze's Facebook posts about his dog, Godric, completely lovely.

I have a Yorkie who would LOVE to catch a squirrel. But, luckily, at only 7 pounds, he's too small and low to the ground to do any damage. I think I would be sick if he brought me a dead squirrel.
