5. Glad I did not drive several hours south for it.
4. Glasses worked.....neater was to seeing it from the back of the inside of a cardboard box someone made up.
3. Earth did not rattle, rock, or roll under my feet during...and that is a generally good thing I may add.
2. Manfred Mann's, "Blinded By the Light" , Lyrics kept running through my mind as I watched it.
1. I thought it would be darker....what the Solar Eclipse! 100 years for this......C'Mon Moon!
Blame the media, social programming and our own willful naivete.

95% eclipse is much closer to 5% eclipse than it is to 100% totality. You really can't compare. Go to the totality in 2024 if you get a chance. It was amazing.

Chilly today in the mountains! 59!

Keep an eye on Irma. Could be bad for NC. Some tracks have it doing like Hugo and coming up through Charlotte and the mountains and some have it hitting the coast. Hope it hoes out to sea instead but one to keep informed about.

Well, the newER ones since they changed over months ago. The self-checkouts nearly always require managers to come by to clear offences that didn't happen with the old system.
