We just bought our first slab house...hopefully our last house. One short step into all three entrances. So far so good on the engineered wood floors.

Bummer. I'm a Tarheel fan now for the sole reason that I know a guy who works at Duke and is cruel to his dog plus has the dog off leash all the time. So whenever I see this guy (who also went to divinity school) I always think, Go Heels.

Also as a side note. I went to hang out with some of my coworkers house at by buddies place in Morrisville and was annoyed at how many people had their Christmas lights out already. Brought it up when I got there and everyone laughed/scolded me....it's Diwali

Nice find! I think I've only seen 2 Nebraska total lol. I saw 2 Alabama in a row today though, and AL is one state with a pretty good variety of standard plates, but these were the same. Have you been keeping track? I'm up to about 670 plates, will probably create a thread about it when I hit 1000 haha

Yes , doing Zebulon-Wendell-Kdale area only. Oddly only like 3 NY plates total so far then again i have like 20 plates so far. The nebraska plates were Rolesville area , debating whether to just throw rolesville in to make it more exciting.

I hope Carolina won't be too quick on the trigger and show him out. Fans should be a little more patient with Fedora. I think he could bring the football program back.

The product is more uniform, with fewer callbacks. People are less accepting of the variances in real wood.

But, yeah. It is a shame. Quality site-finished wood lasts for many decades. Sometimes, centuries.
And, quarter-sawn, clear wood is lovely.

No one wants to pay the price. It only adds $$$/SF, and we are too reliant on a low $$$/SF over timeless quality.
Below $250,000 I guess engineered wood is acceptable but above that it seems inappropriate. Are the Yankees relocating to the Triangle starting to balk at the price of real hardwood floors?
