I learned that I am fairly immune to fire ant bites but my husband gets big angry welts that last weeks. If either of us had to have a bad reaction, I'm glad it's not me with the amount of time I spend in the garden.

Fire ants are the worst. I have been nearly eaten alive by them on several occasions ! I would rather eat a cockroach, nasty as they are, than encounter a nest of fire ants. BTW some cockroaches taste like chicken, and are considered edible in some cultures. Sort of like eating snake meat or frog legs I suppose.
The hot dogs are still good, but I wish you’d had the opportunity of Mrs. Charles serving you up a couple. She ruled the roost at the Roast Grill.
