Yes, it is exactly what you are thinking of and probably more. I have heard some pretty crazy stuff about the place, but no personal experiences. Its been a "Raleigh area" legend for years.

Thanks! I though that was ilegal... At least so open! I though it was something like that. Do they use "massage" as a cover?

I see that place on South Miami Blvd. I go to work that way and always wondered what it was.

I remember driving by there a million years ago and it had a sign saying 'all female counselors'.

Check out the reviews on Citysearch.

There has been periodic controversy about the place; but somehow, it's survived.

I nominate this for the "DUH Post of the Year" Award.

That place has been around since I got here 20 something years ago. It used to be a "massage parlor" but then got busted, to everyone's surprise, no one was licensed. I am not sure what their ruse is now, I am sure it is right up there with the place on HWY98 that says "Movie Mates". Someone should go and report back, I nominate everyone but myself!

Well, as long as someone is going on a field trip, could they swing by "Aphrodities" on Westgate Road and report back to us? I drive by that place on the way to Briercreek and wonder what actually goes on there. Lots of cars. I've had to do some quick thinking with my kids in the car. They wanted to stop by and check out the "bookstore"!

I drive by the one on Capital on my way home from work. After seeing it packed at all hours of the day I did some searching online and found out about a back room. I guess their are couches or something along those lines that people meet up at. It all seems kind of icky.

Tom Cats is a "conversation club." I've never been but a guy at my office used to go probably once a month. You pay to talk, get a dance, and some close contact - but he claims that's as far as one could go despite his best efforts. At least that's as far as someone in his pay grade could go.
