In my experience as IT Project Manager, I didn't find local firms especially helpful. I attended several social events they hosted and visited a few people in their offices to introduce myself. I didn't get a job until a recruiter in Florida saw my resume and got me a job. I don't mean to discourage you but that's my experience. MATRIX is one company I know of that you could check out. If you do a quick google search you should find some others.

What is your background ? Are you an experienced BA or BSA? I work in related field and my $0.02 would be to associate yourself with the local chapter of IIBA. There's plenty of BSA/BA positions in the area and if have strong experience under your belt then you should be able to get something nice. My experience has been that particular area is a very dilute resource pool market as everyone seems to think a BA/BSA role as 'just document requirements' and therefore a lot of forged resumes float around. Fell free to pm me if you have questions.

Try Ranstad, they helped generate a bunch of opportunities for me last year when I was still in the market.
