We are in need of having a companion to stay with my wife's dad at are house Monday - Friday in the day time, my wife will be home but works from the house and needs someone to watch him and just take care of his needs for the day.

Another option - Through the above link you can see if there are any adult day centers that he may qualify for. That would offer him assistance and socialization while your wife is working.

In terms of a caregiver, depending on the level of care needed you may find someone through your church or other organizations that you are active in as well as looking at that link.

North Carolina Adult Day Services Association might be a good place to start.

An adult day program might be just the ticket. Not sure what's available in Wake Forest, but there are several in Raleigh.

Mom attended a day program at Glenaire in Cary for several years and loved it. Kept her mind and body active. Lots of activities that she enjoyed. PT was available at the facility which was a boon to her mobility.

It was a sanity saver for both of us.
