Hi everyone. We just moved here from Connecticut this past weekend. I just wanted to say hi and in the past I have found you guys very helpful at answering questions and such.
WELCOME! We just moved down here in Sept, from Massachusetts, and I have to say I am happy we did. The people down here are just so nice, so helpful, and the weather so far is a nice change. But our first winter will tell me more.
The main advice I have for you is: be careful driving in the rain down here! I am not sure why, but it seems when it rains everyone goes nuts, no one remembers how to drive, and accidents are common. A local told me it is because of oil on the roads?? If anyone has a better explanation, I'd love to hear it?
I just survived my final commute from Jersey City!! The moving vans came today and the family and I are driving down to NC tomorrow. Looking forward to the change. I would also like to thank everyone on this forum for all of their useful information. The past several months I've spent my commuting time reading this forum...and now the day has finally arrived!!
