Not that this matters. I live in the City of Raleigh and for a week now they have told me they would pick up my Christmas tree and for a week now they haven't done it yet. I have left them 3 messages yet they don't care. The City of Raleigh, the City Council, the Mayor, and the Solid Waste Management DO NOT care about us or their obligations. I can't wait for the next election. I will be voting anyone in city govt out regardless of who is running of what their qualifications are.

Sad when our city govt who is run by our city citizens don't care about its citizens.

I went artificial this year...one I made from welded wire fence. Best decision ever I took it out New Years Day. I'm going to hang it high from a limb in the backyard for storage. Out of sight...out of mind till next year

The tigers at Carolina Tiger Rescue in Pittsboro just love evergreen trees! It's like catnip for them!

One of my neighbors still has up the tree, the lights, the blow-up snowman and all. They still turn it on at night too. Every time we drive down that street, my son repeats some meme he saw of some guy talking about why he leaves up his Christmas decorations all year to celebrate all year, " Quitters, you all are just quitters!!!"

My neighbor across the street left for two weeks during Christmas...left a bunch of blinking lights in trees hooked to a timer that came on late afternoon and turned off around midnight. Yeah right pal, I'm going to look at those suckers while you're gone! I went over and pulled the plug

I have taken down my decorations for Christmas 2014; however I like to get an early start on the holidays so I've put them up for Christmas 2015.

Mine's out on the porch waiting for disposal. They make a great bonfire once they've dried out a little.

I can't imagine unplugging a neighbor's Christmas lights without asking. We left ours on a timer while we were gone, and part of it was so that house would not stand out as being empty and dark during the holidays, perhaps attracting thieves.

I saw the last of the neighbors putting away outside Christmas lights this past weekend. It's still January, so not too bad.
