What ever happened to the plans for this hotel? I remember it sold at an auction and the new owners were going to turn it back into an hotel.

Lots of commercial capital disappeared from the marketplace 3-6 years ago. This one was pie in the sky.

And honestly, the other 2 or 3 previous owners were also similarly pie in the sky even before the economy went south. That place has been half renovated so many times in the last decade or so its had to keep track.

Actually, I just checked and it looks like it was sold in 2006, 2007 and 2011 after only changing hands completely a couple of times in the previous 20 years plus another couple of ownership restructuring sales it seems. At least the last owner paid a real discount price for the place! Ownership History - 0027543

Isn't that hotel located in the area of Capital that is prone to flooding during heavy rains like the U-Haul property? I seem to remember that hotel property being flooded out at least once in the past.
