I'm starting to wonder how many people in this thread have even driven by the site. I'm glad to see something besides the typical strip mall even if others are not. It's big and they are still working on it. Thy spend the first year building the underground parking. I'm not sure how it will go, and I imagine it will be a chore to finde tenants for all that space, but I'm willing to let it open, at least for a while, before I declare it a failure.

i think this sounds cool. i hope it is able to open and find tenants in this economy, but things are supposedly getting better... did they have a target date for opening? the website shows progress

Edit: the website says early 2010 opening, so... i feel like that's not necessarily accurate

I really do hope it opens up soon. I would definitely be there in a heartbeat! From the pictures, it would be a lovely place to stroll about at night, arm in arm with a cute boy.

the sign currently says Fall/Winter 2010 and there is one women's clothing store open that has virtually no clothing in it. Is that the European part? Residential would have been very nice, but I have walked the space with the developer and it is a very small space plus I'm not sure those units could have been rented in this economy, as it seems all the retail spaces are not exactly filling up quickly either...perhaps a semi-good idea with bad timing. Hopefully it will take off once the economy improves. At one point, the owner talked about adding a hotel with food service from the restaurants below...guess that fell thru.

Actually they have 11 tenants at this point. Three are now open with the others on the way.

We dropped by today to try Upper Crust for lunch. Have to say it was very, very nice. Really good fresh made gourmet sandwiches, and they also seem to do pies which I will need to try out down the road. I will say they are going to need more room! There were people waiting to sit and that's before the rest of the mall is open! But a really great, fresh addition in a sea of Panera/Subways.
