Well that exact scenario happened to my niece, case closed on my end. Nothing you say can change that fact. At any rate, I've said my piece and I'm done looking at this thread.

By the way, the choice plan is over, so there is no "list of schools" that you are given. Every address has a base school and then a calendar option. If your base school is capped you will be sent to an overflow school very close to where you live. For example, Cedar Fork Elementary is capped, and the overflow school is Weatherstone, which is just a few miles away.

If your base school is traditional calendar and you prefer year round, you can apply to transfer to the YR. If your base is YR and you prefer traditional, you can apply to transfer to the traditional.
Well, technically, kids do get bused from Cary to Raleigh and vice versa. Just not all the way from one side to the other. Just across the border.

That's a long list. I don't mean to be vague, but RTP is full of large companies.

Wow, the difference 3 little letters make! Any searches on just google for larger companies in/near Raleigh didn't come close to producing a list that size! Thanks a bunch, that opened up another door on the job search front! I feel like I've been under a rock after seeing these websites... and here I thought I did some decent digging so far!!!

Been to Raleigh for a family vacation, Chapel Hill when looking at colleges and Graham to visit friends a couple times. Enjoyed the feel and atmosphere of Raleigh but wouldn't want to live directly there.
