Actually, I've been going to that salon for 4 years. The owner does my nails. She has gotten lazy. She answers the phone while doing my nails. Sometimes she just stops in the middle of a pedicure and goes to do someone's brows.
We used to talk but I've grown tired of her taking 2.5 hours to do a mani/pedi that usually takes 1.5 hours.
By the way, some of the ladies in there do speak English. So, your assumption is incorrect.
Another example, when I go to pay and the lady taking my money is talking to the nail tech beside her. I feel like it is rude to ignore the person in front of you. Mistakes are made when people don't pay attention to the task at hand. Especially when my credit card has to be swiped twice because no one was paying attention. It then becomes up to me to verify that I'm not charged twice.
It has nothing to do with the language...as I originally explained.
Funny that this has come up as I've had this conversation with many people lately. The noise level isn't relaxing.
I am in the process of looking for another nail salon for those reasons and a few others.
Perhaps I'll find a Spa that has less noise.
