Hello!

I'd love some ideas of what it would cost to hire someone to re-grout my master bathroom shower (double-size).

I realize there are several factors that may affect the estimate, but I am just trying to get a rough ballpark to decide if I even want to go down the road of calling companies out to get estimates....if we're talking in the thousands than I will probably look for other options.

Thanks!

There have been a couple of groupons/living socials recently for grout repair companies. I also need to do something about my shower bc new tile isn't in the budget.

RaleighLass & mocharoman-
I did a little googling and found this site.

Cost to Regrout Shower - 2014 Cost Calculator (Zip Code based)

Not sure if it is accurate for the Zip code I put in, but it at least gives me a ballpark.

Honestly, you can almost tear out your old tile and install new for the same cost as a true regrout job from a contractor. As long as you do the demo yourself and of course, don't spend more than $2-3 sq/foot on tile, which you really have no reason to unless you are one of those types.

Fly-Widget Thanks for the link, very helpful! this is give me something as a basis.

Freshjiv-I get what you are saying about the cost of doing a thorough job. Mine only needs one row all around the shower where the walls meet the floor. Although i have thought of tearing it all out but the bathrub is also covered in the same tile and the floor, so it would be a pretty huge job that I don't want to spring for just yet. I have other projects ahead of it. Thanks for the info!

If it is only one line of grout and it is where the tile meets the pan or floor then your best option might be to get some color matched silicone and run a bead along the line.
