Default Utilities and other costs

I was wondering if some residents in the Chapel Hill area can give me an idea of what the average utility/heat/a/c costs are on a home (and the sq. ft of the home)? Why do I ask? I am just starting to get our outrageous electric/heat bills in NY and they are through the roof up here. Since we are relocating next year, I want to get an idea of what it would cost us in that area.
Thanks.
