I need a recommendation for a good and reliable house cleaner. I live in Brier Creek. Someone who can come 2x/month. Anyone have someone that they love?
Don't be surprised if you don't get any recs. This question has been asked before and usually goes unanswered. I imagine that it has something to do with the words "good and reliable" being used in the same sentence as "house cleaner".
The best I could offer is someone who is pleasant and trustworthy. However she didn't much care to dust and preferred to spend time on things that didn't really require her attention (she loved to wash dishes even though we have a dishwasher). But where she was good, she was great (she could clean hard surfaces like nobody knows) and we were very comfortable having her in our house, a trait that we hold in high regard.

I hate to agree but the previous comment about good and reliable is true. I hear that from every client I meet. It's usually stated they start off great and end up spraying lysol and out in 20 minutes. The second complaint is they don't show up or reschedule. However their loss is my opportunity. Please PM me due to terms of posting.

Honestly if your using a "service" your getting ripped. Your just an adress on a schedule and usually locked into a contract that's hard to break. Those contracts are in the companies best interest not yours. Lock out fees, cancellation charges. Those are necessary if you have a large staff to pay and your business is solely based on numbers. If you are having a monthly clean and that person is out in under 4 hours or has multiple houses scheduled a day. Someone is getting screwed.

Well, that's the thing. If you're using an individual, you have no guarantees, either.
Some services are better than others... but, really, none of them are overly impressive.
We get a biweekly done from a service, and we typically have the same person assigned to our house.
We don't have a contract, we are home when the house is being cleaned. We do get charged a fee for a late cancellation, but I'd expect similar from an independent contractor because they do have to earn a living.
