There is? I didn't know there was one closer than CH. Learn something new ...
There's not an Earthfare in Chapel Hill, if that's what your CH refers to, although there used to be one about 10 years ago. There is a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Weaver Street (in Southern Village and Carrboro), and Fresh Market, as well as Southern Season for specialty items.

Probably a little less than 10 years because I've only lived in the Triangle for 9 years, but that shows how often I get to CH. LOL
Also, Hermitage at Beechtree would be good. Direct access to Black Creek Greenway, Lake Crabtree, and Umstead Park. Less than 10 minutes to Fresh Market, maybe a bit longer to Whole Foods and TJ's (they are near one another).
Hermitage has been mentioned a few times on this forum and it was also recommended to me my a member who lives there, better check this lead out as well as Brampton
Keep em coming guys, there's got to be more out there. Keep your eyes open in your travels
How about some Cary suggestions? Morrisville? Six Forks?
How about near the farmers market?

Brampton Moors and Hermitage at Beechtree are in Cary.

Also, 10-15 minutes to Whole Foods & Trader Joe's. It's definitely suburbia, but it's a great location.
Yup this area is just becoming one huge sprawl between Raleigh, Cary, Durham, and eventually chapel hill. The traffic is insane already but then again they did predict Charlotte to become like next Atlanta and RDU like the Twin cities within the next 5 yrs.

For your budget, locale, and wish list I would not expect too many choices. It's a hodgepodge considering what you can afford so may just have to streamline your list and pick a place to settle in short term until you're able to see for yourself. Some people do an extended stay America type place for a few weeks just to get acclimated this way they are not committed to a lease and have the flexibility to search physically while still being in the area. You'll have to check out the pet policy though.

Thanks for the suggestion.
As I get farther into the search, this is exactly what I was thinking of doing.
Then there's the challenge of finding an extended stay type place that's in a nice neighborhood
Since I am finding so many places in my price range I really need to see them and feel the neighborhood
so an extended stay is an excellent idea. Who knows I might end up liking an area I hadn't even considered or stumble upon a townhome or garage apartment I like.
