When I moved to Knightdale 16 years ago, the realtor warned me we would soon become Raleigh or Rightdale is what she called it. Sounded like something "Scooby Doo" would say. In any case, Knightdale has grown over the last few years with the 264 bypass and the shopping centers and yes, we are slowly becoming congested. I, fortunately, live right next to the bypass so most times I can avoid the traffic "in town." Despite the traffic congestion, Knightdale has done a great job by planning ahead and this whole "growth" process has not been that bad. I like being able to run into town now to go to Target or eat out instead of driving 30-40 minutes to fight the same congested areas to eat out or shop.
As far as the housing, I do feel that is an area Knightdale didn't plan too well for. There aren't many areas to add housing to Knightdale without annexing the outskirts (where I am). They planned for all of the business but not the housing.
I guess we'll run into Wendell next and be called "Rightdell."

NRG, it's so nice of you to take and share so many photos. I always enjoy your threads, even though I'm not in the market for a new home.
I do have to say that the striped/patterned garage doors on some of those homes are some of the most hideous things I've ever seen.

Are those homes really that close to one another or is just the photography?

Yawn.
Nice houses, tiny lots. Same as almost everything else.

We drove through this neighborhood when we toured the are this past May. They really are that close together. Adorable houses, but precious little yard, especially for the price of the house. However, some folks like that- a little yard to play in but no heavy maintenance

I moved to Knightdale about a year ago. I checked out Princeton Manor as well. The floor plans and attention to detail are to die for; however, as many of the commentors have said the lots are very small for the price they are asking. While it is true that some folk like low maintenance Princeton Manor takes it to a totally different level. I hope that when they open the next phase that they will consider a little more elbow room.
