Hello raghavkashi,

I appreciate your concern about snakes but sadly the truth is: Lawyers are everywhere. Cant get away from them. Having read many of the previous post I can see you have already been given some very good advice. I just wanted to add one thing. Your fine, we welcome you and the equity most people from the north bring with them. You will be tempted, however do NOT tell your friends how much you enjoy living here after you arrive. I moved here 20 years ago to get away from the noise, pollution, traffic, and crime of the northern cities. The problem is, the problems are starting to arrive here because so many people have followed me. Its still very nice place to live but less of a town and more of a city every day.

There are two pieces of advice I can give you. Enjoy the sweet tea and when the light turns green, wait a few seconds before you blow your horn at the car that isn't moving in front of you unless you want to stick out like a sore thumb. (or Yankee)

Be well, and come see us now y'all.

That's so funny! I'd scream my head off if my cat did that!

One of my Boston's brings in live Chipmonks. We never could find the last one she brought in until we started smelling the dang thing!

Normally I would say it's not a big problem (and I still say that), but this has been a pretty good (or bad) year for snakes.

On Friday, I almost ran over a Copperhead on the Walnut Creek Greenway Trail, and then yesterday, a buddy of mine found one in his biking gear-bag, stored in his shed. Neither one of us got bit. :-)

OK if that happened to me it wouldn't matter if it bit me, because I would have already died of shock and heart attack.

My cousin bagged two good size copperheads at my mom' over the weekend. He gives them to some dude at the Museum downtown. They were in good supply of them there at the present so he took them to some remote release spot in the county

I just saw a baby copperhead last night on the greenway. I need to make sure I keep my poor little doggie on a leash!

You need your dog on a leash on the greenway, snakes or no snakes....
