Just found this on Slate. Apparently they freak out about copperheads in Atlanta, too!

Copperhead fever in Atlanta: Can releasing kingsnakes and black snakes chase out venomous snakes?

The fact that she is from the UK is no excuse. I recently had a friend from London stop by for a small visit when she was on her way with family to Disney down in Florida for holiday. Not once did she act like she was about to be eaten alive or fear for her children. (She even let them play down by our creek!)

Good grief. Maybe you need some professional help to get over yourself.

Bumping for help with copperheads.

We relocated to a new home a month ago and have seen several since we moved in. The house is on several acres and the previous owner did nothing to dissuade the copperheads from setting up shop on the land; there are several wood piles covered in pine straw, etc.

This afternoon, about 1pm, I saw two of them mating not 30' from my front door. Grabbed a shovel and only saw one by the time I got back, and that one was slithering away. I'm not interested in giving chase over uneven ground littered with leaves and pine straw. Enough's enough. Anyone have recommendations on a good snake removal service? I already googled and found "TRU."

I'm really just not sure if I should pay someone to clear the yard debris and then pay someone to come out and deal with the snakes if a problem persists.

Did you know people do it too? Positively insipid.
