Optimal sound like an interesting company with some potential. Anyone into energy conservation would appreciate their efforts.
One question:
The headline says RTP, but the text of the article says they are moving into the 19th floor of the Progress Energy Center, in downtown Raleigh. So willl Optimal's U.S. headquartes be located in RTP, or downtown?

My guess is that that is yet to be determined. Companies typically come to an area and lease while they figure out where they want to go. It could be downtown. It could be Centenial Campus. It could be RTP or periphery. Who knows?

Would the City of Raleigh really match State incentives to have a company move to RTP? Seems that if a company accepts a city's money to relocate there, they should at least be asked to relocate within the city's limits.
Optimal is 19th floor Progress Energy building. They'll be there at least 2-3 years, my insider info tells me. Then, maybe, RTP, but there's no telling. I'm sure it depends on the deal.
